Notes[]

Brother Michel is the orphaned child of a Sandpoint dwarf and a Tianese merchant; he grew up in their household speaking both languages until their untimely death at sea. He was taken into the orphanage of Gozreh and educated in the ranks of the clergy. He eventually took orders and served as the Braumeister for a nearby shrine. The shrine was recently destroyed by a tidal wave and Brother Michel finds himself at loose ends.

Michel is a well-known figure in Sandpoint, a towering 6'5" sallow-skinned man with a bald head and long queue of black hair, dressed in the blue and storm grey robes of Gozreh's servants and making deliveries of beer, mead, ale, and brandy to local taverns. He's a huge fan of the Rusty Dragon and often hangs out there in the evenings drinking and singing (badly) with Ameiko.

Combat Tactics[]

Michel prefers to defend himself in combat against ranged attacks with Missile Shield, then lob small Concussion blasts to stun and disorient opponents. Given the choice, he stays behind the front line and uses Committed Attacks with his glaive at range, normally targeting the foe's torso.

Michel has no special affinity for fighting the undead or demons. He'll contribute and has decent tools for the job, but he's not a demonslayer.

If he knows that he's about to go into a big fight, he'll prepare a large (5d+) explosive fireball and carry it until the fight starts.

Advancement[]

Personal advancement plans

  • Add Grip Mastery (Polearm) to allow quick shifting between spell-chucking and face-stabbing.
  • Pick up Power Investiture 4 and useful spells like Banish, Gift of *.
  • More magic spells (add water spells, useful making and breaking spells like Clean).
  • Increase all stats.
  • Combat Reflexes.

Equipment advancement plans

  • Upgrade armor to good quality (~$1500, +1 DR) or replace with good medium plate (~$10000, +2 DR) or fine medium plate (~$100,000, +2 DR, ~10 lbs lighter) or replace with magical gear.
